Velavan Public Welfare Trust

The Managing Director of Velavan Public Welfare Trust, Mr. Velusamy, registered this organization as a trust in the year 2006. He has been running a care facility under this trust in Periyakulam Taluk, near Kumbakkarai Falls, close to the Kumbakkarai River, at a distance of about 10 meters.

He follows Gandhian principles and the ideals of Mother Teresa. Every year, he hoists the National Flag and carries out several noble activities through the trust. For example, he organizes sports competitions, cultural programs, speech contests, and essay competitions for college and school students, encouraging and motivating them.

He appreciates and supports poor and underprivileged students by providing them with school uniforms. He also honors senior citizens by providing essential assistance. In remembrance of deceased national leaders, he conducts tribute events. He pays respect and honors to Indian Army soldiers as well.

Once every year, as a major humanitarian initiative, he identifies elderly people living on the roadside, takes care of them, ensures their cleanliness, and protects them with compassion and responsibility.

Through the Velavan Public Welfare Trust, he has devoted his entire life to social service, sometimes working in solitude and sometimes engaging actively in public service. With a broad social vision, he aims to identify like-minded service-oriented individuals in the coming years and run the Velavan Public Welfare Trust along with them.

This reformist and social service–minded thinker continues to carry out various social welfare activities, and with the same spirit of encouragement and service, he is currently running the Velavan Care Home.
